CHANGE STARTS WITH OURSELVES.
Explore the journey of taking your health back & learning about Health Equity!
Why 90 days? Great question, it takes 90 days to form a habit. Just as Rome wasn't built in a day the same is the case in creating a healthy lifestyle. We know that there is an interception where our past experiences or family practices collide with our daily routine and before you know it you've formed a new habit that sets the tone for life. It could be checking your phone before your feet touch the ground. It could be digesting coffee or soda every day before taking in water. For some, it's taking care of everyone else before you give any care to yourself. This 90 Day Pledge is designed to press pause, grant yourself some grace and mercy, and reset. This reset simply means that over the next 90 days, you are going to make yourself a priority.
Over the next 90 Days we'll focus on 3 key areas!
Mental Health - It all starts with mindset | Nutritional Health - 80% of your results have to do with the fuel you give your body! | Physical Health - 20% of your results are in moving your body
"Transforming our communities by healing ourselves"
Mind, Body & Soul
01
Mental Health -
Mental and physical health are equally important components of overall health. For example, depression increases the risk for many types of physical health problems, particularly long-lasting conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Similarly, the presence of chronic conditions can increase the risk for mental illness.2
02
Nutrition -
Good nutrition is essential in keeping current and future generations of Americans healthy across their lifespan. Breastfeeding helps protect against childhood illnesses, including ear and respiratory infections, asthma, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). People with healthy eating patterns live longer and are at lower risk for serious health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. For people with chronic diseases, healthy eating can help manage these conditions and prevent complications.

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities.

Adults who sit less and do any amount of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity gain some health benefits. Only a few lifestyle choices have as large an impact on your health as physical activity.
Everyone can experience the health benefits of physical activity – age, abilities, ethnicity, shape, or size do not matter.
